Profiling Aurora - the Hunt for a Canlis Menu on Aurora

In this edition of "Profiling Aurora" I chat with Brian Canlis of Canlis Restaurant, Seattle's finest restaurant, located at 2576 Aurora Avenue.  I ask Brian to tell us more about phase two of the Canlis menu hunt they're doing in celebration of the restaurant's 60th anniversary on December 11.   We also hide a menu at the Clarke Apartments at 950 N 72nd St., the former site of legendary Aurora establishment Twin Teepees and wait until someone finds it!

Special thanks to Eratosthenes.me for help with the paparazzi video!

Great Job Brian Canlis and Crew on such a creative idea. I love that you are an Aurora Business and that you believe in giving back to the community and asking others to do the same. Thank you!

Ben, you're getting pretty good at these interviews, watch out Martha..

So cool
This is fun to have this great moment documented. Having grown up near Aurora and Canlis, I have many memories of some wonderful businesses along Aurora... this one takes the cake though!

Seattle's finest?
Ben ... Canlis is definitely solid ... and the promotion is brilliant ... but I'm not so sure that it is Seattle's finest restaurant. Maybe Seattle's finest restaurant that has been around for 50 years.

RE: Seattle's finest?
Justin, Aurora|Seattle doesn't claim to be the expert on fine dining in Seattle. Nevertheless, despite my extremely limited fine dining experience (especially compared to yours!), I have no problem calling it the finest when I consider not only their food, but also their expression of hospitality and generosity.
